400+ miles across training cycles. Real mileage, not a treadmill test. Here’s what I actually found.

Adidas running shoes on track

The Ultraboost 24 β€” Living With It for 450km

The Boost midsole at 450km still feels noticeably more alive than my previous EVA-foam shoes did at the same distance. Soft, bouncy, comfortable over longer distances. At 310g it’s heavy β€” but the shoe that makes running feel friendlier for high-mileage training weeks.

The Adizero Adios Pro 3 β€” A Different Category Entirely

The carbon rods and LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam create a propulsive, snappy sensation β€” the shoe participates in the run. At 220g, startlingly light. For tempo runs and race days, this shoe genuinely changes how fast you can go.

Important caveat: not a daily training shoe. The aggressive geometry asks a lot of calves and Achilles. Designed for racing, not volume training.

Who Should Buy Which

Ultraboost 24 (Β£154.95): Anyone. Beginners to experienced. Daily training from 5km to marathon. Adizero Adios Pro 3 (Β£219.95): Runners who race regularly and want a genuine performance advantage on race day.

If you can only have one: Ultraboost, without hesitation. Versatile, comfortable, looks good everywhere. Add the Adios Pro 3 as a race shoe once you’re training seriously for events.
