30 identical orders across Grubhub, DoorDash and Uber Eats from the same restaurants. Eight weeks. Here’s what I found.
Who Was Cheapest?
Without membership: Uber Eats won on raw price in 14 of 30 orders. But with Grubhub+ ($9.99/month, or free with Amazon Prime), Grubhub became cheapest over the full month β delivery fee elimination across multiple orders adds up.
Delivery Time: DoorDash Wins Clearly
DoorDash was most accurate β actual delivery within 4 minutes of quoted estimate on average. Uber Eats consistently optimistic. Grubhub most variable.
Customer Service When Things Go Wrong
DoorDash: auto-refunded wrong item without explanation needed. Uber Eats: photo required, sorted within 20 minutes. Grubhub: required live chat, took about 2 days.
